WHO WE SERVE
Different Paths. One Mission.
Each comes to us by a different path, with a different source of income. Our prevention work focuses on reaching veterans before housing instability becomes homelessness. All of them need stability to stay on solid ground.
01
HUD-VASH voucher holders
Veterans with a VA housing voucher who need a placement that meets program standards — and the support that helps it hold.
02
Transitioning service members
Active-duty, Guard, and Reserve members using their Basic Allowance for Housing who need stability through a move or transition.
03
Recently separated veterans
Veterans leaving service through the Transition Assistance Program, in the window before civilian housing is settled.
Connect. Assist. Follow through.
HOUSING STABILITY SUPPORT
RVHF expands access to stable and affordable housing through housing navigation, community partnerships, and mission-aligned housing initiatives. As funding, capacity, partnerships, and opportunities permit, the Foundation may acquire, develop, lease, preserve, rehabilitate, or otherwise facilitate affordable housing to advance its charitable mission of preventing veteran housing instability. The Foundation partners with housing providers, agencies, and community organizations to open doors to stable housing for veterans, and guides veterans to the right opportunity at the right time.
We connect veterans to safe, stable housing and to landlords who understand and welcome the mission.
01
Housing connection
Referral Coordination
Targeted intake, referral coordination, and partner-resource alignment to identify appropriate next steps before a temporary disruption becomes a crisis.
02
Guidance and steady follow-through, so a placement lasts and a veteran stays housed.
03
Early-Risk Intake & Navigation
A model that can be repeated.
WHERE WE ARE GOING
Our vision is a country where a veteran never loses a home to setback that could have been caught in time — and a prevention model disciplined enough that other communities can adopt it.
Prevention as the standard
A veteran facing a temporary disruption should have somewhere to turn while they are still housed — not only after the home is gone.
A connected network
A working network of housing providers, VA and community partners, and referral sources that moves faster than a crisis does.
Proof, then reach
Document what works in Virginia and Georgia, then extend the same standards to the next market — growth that follows evidence.
STRATEGIC GROWTH
Built to scale — with discipline.
Vision sets the direction; execution earns the right to grow. We build this model deliberately, one market at a time, with the same standards in every state we enter. Growth follows proof.
Primary operating focus
Where the Foundation is active today, building the program and its partnerships.
Future growth markets
Targeted for expansion as the model is proven and capacity grows — not yet active operating locations.
