1. About RVHF

The Reed Veteran Housing Foundation is a Virginia nonprofit organization and an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity.

RVHF works to prevent veteran housing instability before it becomes homelessness by connecting veterans and transitioning service members to housing opportunities, navigation, referrals, community resources, and partner pathways.

2. Informational and Charitable Purpose

This website is provided for charitable, educational, informational, outreach, referral, partnership, volunteer, and fundraising purposes.

Information on this website is general in nature and is not intended to constitute legal, tax, medical, mental-health, financial, benefits, or other professional advice.

Visitors should consult an appropriate qualified professional or government agency regarding matters requiring professional advice.

3. No Guarantee of Assistance or Housing

Submitting a referral, completing a form, contacting RVHF, making a request, or otherwise communicating with the Foundation does not guarantee:

• Housing placement;
• Rental or utility assistance;
• Financial assistance;
• Acceptance into an RVHF program;
• Eligibility for a third-party program;
• Availability of a particular housing unit;
• Approval by a landlord, housing authority, government agency, or partner organization; or
• Any particular outcome.

Services, referrals, and assistance are subject to applicable eligibility requirements, documentation, program criteria, geographic service areas, partner availability, organizational capacity, and available resources.

RVHF may refer an individual to another organization when the individual's needs fall outside RVHF's programs or available resources.

4. Not an Emergency Service

RVHF is not an emergency shelter, emergency-response provider, medical provider, crisis-response service, or law-enforcement agency.

Individuals experiencing an immediate emergency should contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service.

For immediate danger, call 911.

Veterans experiencing a mental-health crisis may call or text 988 and press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line.

Veterans who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness may contact the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-424-3838 (877-4AID-VET).

5. Referrals and Information Submitted to RVHF

You agree that information you submit through the website will be truthful to the best of your knowledge.

When referring another person, you should provide only information reasonably necessary for the referral and should respect that person's privacy.

Submission of information does not create an attorney-client, counselor-client, healthcare-provider, fiduciary, landlord-tenant, or other professional relationship between RVHF and the person submitting the information or the individual who is the subject of a referral.

Use of submitted information is also governed by RVHF's Privacy Policy.

6. Donations

Donations made to RVHF are intended to support the Foundation's charitable mission and programs.

RVHF is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing on this website constitutes tax or financial advice. Donors should consult their own tax adviser regarding the deductibility or treatment of a contribution.

Online donations may be processed through third-party payment providers and are also subject to the terms and policies of the applicable payment provider.

If you believe a donation was processed incorrectly or without authorization, please contact RVHF promptly at hello@ReedRVHF.org.

7. No Donor Control Over Charitable Funds

Unless RVHF expressly agrees otherwise in writing and applicable law permits it, donations become charitable assets of the Foundation and are administered by RVHF consistent with its charitable mission, applicable donor restrictions, Board-approved policies, grant requirements, and applicable law.

A donor's contribution does not create ownership, management, governance, or decision-making rights in the Foundation.

8. Partnerships and Housing Opportunities

Information regarding housing providers, partners, organizations, programs, or other third-party resources does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, certification, or warranty by RVHF unless expressly stated otherwise.

Housing providers and third-party organizations maintain their own eligibility standards, leasing requirements, program rules, fees, screening requirements, and operating policies.

RVHF is not responsible for decisions independently made by a landlord, property owner, housing authority, government agency, nonprofit partner, service provider, or other third party.

9. Website Content

RVHF seeks to provide accurate and useful information, but programs, eligibility standards, funding, partner resources, government programs, housing availability, contact information, and other circumstances can change.

We do not warrant that every item of website content will always be complete, current, or error-free.

RVHF may update, modify, remove, or discontinue website content or features at any time.

10. Third-Party Websites

The website may contain links to third-party websites or resources.

These links are provided for convenience or informational purposes. RVHF does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, content, privacy practices, services, or actions.

Access to a third-party website is subject to that site's own terms and privacy policies.

Unless otherwise indicated, the RVHF name, logo, website design, written content, graphics, campaign materials, downloadable resources, and other original content appearing on this website are owned by or used with permission of The Reed Veteran Housing Foundation.

Website materials may be viewed, downloaded, or printed for personal, informational, or legitimate charitable referral purposes.

They may not be reproduced, modified, sold, falsely attributed, commercially exploited, or used in a manner that suggests an unauthorized endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with RVHF.
